How to Verify Addresses with Google

Learn how to verify the addresses of your Locations using Google Maps in Swept.

When you add a Location in Swept, you must include the address of the location. Swept uses Google Maps to verify the address.

When you add the address to a location, the ⚠️ caution sign appears in the address property until a valid address is entered. Below the address properties, a map is with a red pin dropped at the address you've entered.

This map serves 3 purposes:

  1. Visual confirmation the location entered is the intended location for cleaning.
  2. Create a Geofence for the acceptable clock-in/out perimeter surrounding the location.
  3. Calculate Travel Time between 2 locations.

Once you select the appropriate address, it will auto-complete the remaining address information.

NOTE: If an address is not verified by Google Maps, it may impact certain functionalities, such as travel time calculations. However, the location will still be added to your list.

Location Import Error

When performing a bulk import of locations in Swept, it is crucial to ensure that all location details are accurate and formatted according to the requirements specified in the import file. If any address is found to be incorrect, you will see an error message during the import process.
