How to create Inspection Plans on the web

A template or unique inspection plan gives you a simple way to conduct quality control reporting on our mobile app

 

This functionality is NOT available in the Launch plan. To upgrade your plan, click here.

How to create an Inspection plan?


  • Select Inspections from the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the green + Inspection Plan button in the top right corner to add a new inspection.

  • Select the Location you wish to add the Inspection to from the drop down list.
  • Give your Inspection Plan a name and a (optional) description.

  • Two options appear at the top for adding to the Inspection Plan manually: 
    • Name a New Area - An inspection area is the title of a section within the inspection plan. You can also add an inspection area by typing the title and then adding a colon (:). 
    • New Item - Items in the Inspection Plan are specific locations or items for cleaning. You can add comments, photos, and ratings to these items when completing your inspection.
  • Two options appear at the bottom for adding more content:
    • Add New Area - You can add as many areas to an Inspection Plan as is needed.
    • Add From Template - In Swept, you can create inspection templates to streamline the process of conducting similar inspections across multiple locations. Swept provides standard templates that you can use, or you can create your own. Simply select the templates you want to add and click "Save." The selected template(s) will then be available for use in the inspection plan.
  • Once your inspection plan is ready, click on the blue Save button in the top right.

How to Duplicate an Inspection Plan?

  • To the right of the inspection plan are three dots.
  • Once selected, click on Duplicate
  • Enter the new name and location of the duplicated plan

How to edit an Inspection Plan?

  • From the Inspections tab, click on the Inspection Plan you wish to edit.
  • Any information on the plan can now be edited.

How to delete an Inspection Plan?

  • To the right of the inspection plan are three dots.
  • Once selected, click on Delete.
  • Note that deleted Inspection Plans cannot be recovered. A confirmation screen will appear prior to confirming your choice to delete the plan.
