Learn how to create and manage inspection plans for locations, along with templates, and conduct quality control of cleaner's work with ratings, photos, and comments.
Who can create and edit Inspection plans?
Managers and Supervisors with access to the Swept Web App and Inspections have access to creating and editing Inspections within Swept.
How to create and edit Inspection plans?
- Select Inspections from the left-hand menu.
- Click on the green Add Inspection Plan button in the top right corner to add a new inspection.

From the Inspections tab, click on the green pencil to the right of the inspection plan to edit the inspection plan name.
- Give the Inspection a Name, Location, and hit Save.
- Three options appear at the top:
- Add Inspection Point - An inspection point is a location in an inspection plan where you can add comments, photos, and ratings. You can also include a description and add a new inspection point by pressing "enter" and typing.
- Add New Area - An inspection area is the title of a section within the inspection plan. You can also add an inspection area by typing the title and then adding a colon/:
- Add From Template - In Swept, you can create inspection templates to streamline the process of conducting similar inspections across multiple locations. Swept provides standard templates that you can use, or you can create your own. Simply select the templates you want to add and click "Save." The selected template(s) will then be available for use in the inspection plan.
- Once your inspection plan is created the changes will automatically save.
How to Copy an Inspection Plan?
- To the right of the inspection plan you want to copy click on the Copy Plan icon of two sheets of paper.
How to edit an Inspection Plan?
- From the Inspections tab, click on the green pencil to the right of the inspection plan.
- To update the information in an inspection click on the inspection plan name.
How to delete an Inspection Plan?
- To the right of the inspection plan you want to delete click on the red X.
- Confirm by clicking OK in the confirmation modal.
How to add an Inspection Template?
- Click on View Inspection Templates.
- Click on the green Add Inspection Template button.
- Add a title for the inspection template and click Save.
- Two options will appear:
