Setup and Manage Clients

Learn how to add, edit and delete clients

Clients are your key contacts at cleaning locations, whom you need to send messages back and forth or email an inspection report to reassure them of top-notch cleaning services.

Add and Invite a Client

To add a client in Swept, you must sign in to the Swept Web App. Once you are logged in, please follow the instructions below:

  • In the left-hand menu, click Clients. All clients will be shown on this page.
  • Click the green +Add Client button on the right.
  • On the Add New Client screen, add the required details.
  • Click the blue “Save” button.
  • After adding a new user, update the status from 'INVITE PENDING' to 'INVITED' by simply clicking on the three-dot dropdown button.

  • Once a new user is INVITED, they will receive an email invitation to set up their password and download the Swept app. Like this:

NOTE: If they didn't receive any invite email in their inbox, be sure to ask them to check the SPAM folder. The invitation does expire after 14 days, so if they did not set up their profile, you'll need to send them another invite email.

Assign a Client to a Location

  • To assign a client to a location, choose Locations from the left-hand menu.
    Click on the three dots to the right of the location you would like to add clients to and choose Clients.
  • Under the Assigned column, check the client(s) that should be approved to this location.
  • This automatically saves.

If your client has contracted you to clean multiple locations, assign the client to each location. Clients can be assigned to one or many locations. 

Delete a Client

  • To permanently delete a client, choose Clients from the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the red x to the right of the client you would like to delete.
  • A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you would like to delete them, as it will delete all related information. If unsure, click Cancel. If positive, you would like to delete the client. Click OK.

Import Clients to Swept

Prepare your data

Setting up your spreadsheet in preparation for importing your data is key. 

  1. Download the Clients Import File here: Clients Import File
  2. Save the file as a .CSV file after it has been downloaded. For instructions on how to save as a .CSV in Excel and Google Sheets, click here.
  3. Do NOT edit or remove any cells in this file except the row with the sample data. All data in the header columns must not be edited. 
  4. Columns with an * are mandatory. If you attempt to import the file without these fields completed, the file import will generate an error, "mandatory information missing."
  5. Country data must be entered as the 2-letter country abbreviation. Both letters need to be capitalized. Examples: CA-Canada.
  6. Time zones must be entered exactly as they appear in Swept before the brackets. Ex: US Eastern Time Zone, America/New York
  7. Phone numbers must include the + before the country code.

⚠️ To add a phone number with the + symbol, you must include an apostrophe before the + for formatting purposes. All phone numbers must be entered in this format: +15555555555.
